The mushroom-pickers stopped coming back from the cave. Now the woods are taking people too.
The Hall blames goblins. The Hall is wrong, and some of them know it.
Torchless is a top-down roguelite about a town that would rather lie than dig. Descend, die, bank what you carried, and watch the town spend it.
- 7 classes — each a finished idea, not a branch on a tree
- 54 upgrades built to combine, not to stack — frost spreads through burning enemies, crits pay out in gold, some pairs fuse into a third thing
- A town that grows on what you bring home — bank ore and it upgrades for every class you will ever play
- Two acts, two bosses with real phases
- Alpha. Two acts, one solo developer.
- Free. The tip jar is there; the game is not behind it.
- Windows, mouse and keyboard. No controller support yet.
- Bug reports and "this class feels bad" opinions are the entire point of this build. Comments are open and read.

I really want to try more of the classes, but what an amazing game! I played it today for a Patreon series called Out There and I am blown away. I am planning on making another video about it because of how impressed I was. I would love to talk to you about the game and its development if that's something you'd be interested in doing.

This genuinely made my day - thank you for playing it, and for taking the time to write. I'd be glad to talk about the game and how it got built. Whatever format suits you: here or email -antahoniststudio@gmail.com. Found your channel - let me know when the video goes up. Watching someone get stuck is worth more than any comment I could get, and that's the whole reason this build is public.
And if you go back for more classes: the rogue and the mage feel furthest from the knight.
very very good game sir, I like it! keep it up
Thank you kindly!
